Don't call 999 if it is not an emergency.
All 999 calls are free. You can make them from any phone, including mobile phones.
Ambulance - You should call 999 if someone is seriously ill or injured, or their life is at risk or for non emergencies call them on 111
Police - Call 999 if you are reporting a crime that is in progress or if someone is in immediate danger and if you need emergency help or for non-emergencies call them on 101.
Fire - No matter how small the fire, call 999. Small fires can spread quickly and the smoke can be toxic! If there's a fire in your house or flat, get out and call us. Don't go back in for any reason.

NHS urgent mental health helplines are for people of all ages.
You can call for:

Text "SHOUT" to 85258 to contact the Shout Crisis Text Line, or text "YM" if you're under 19
If you're under 19, you can also call 0800 1111 to talk to Childline. The number will not appear on your phone bill.

Anyone who finds themselves homeless is provided with support of accommodation from the council.
